EnergeticWater: A global proposal to regenerate the planet drop by drop.

We are living at a critical moment in human history: the planet is asking for our help. The acceleration of desertification processes, persistent drought, air pollution and the degradation of ecosystems are clear symptoms of an unbalanced system. Faced with this reality, EnergeticWater emerges, an ambitiously transformative initiative that aims to regenerate the planet through a new model of freshwater use and distribution.

Global problems: an urgent challenge

The expansion of desertification, especially the spread of Saharan dust towards Europe, is transforming the landscape in an alarming way. On March 15, 2022, Western Europe woke up under a brown sky: a dense layer of dust had stained the snow of the Pyrenees and the Alps. This phenomenon is not a meteorological anecdote, but a clear sign that the global climate system is altered.

The increasingly intense drought threatens crops, sources of drinking water and the viability of entire communities. Holes in the ozone layer, which have traditionally been associated with the Antarctic region, are also being detected in other areas of the planet, increasing vulnerability to solar radiation.

Structural causes of imbalance

Environmental problems are neither random nor inevitable: they are the direct result of a development model based on overexploitation. Dependence on fossil fuels continues to be one of the drivers of the climate crisis. With more than 1.5 billion vehicles circulating around the world, air pollution is omnipresent.

In addition, the overexploitation of continental aquifers —essential sources of groundwater— has led to the depletion of these resources. Water, despite being perceived as an infinite good, is limited, and its natural balance is compromised.

EnergeticWater: an emerging solution

Faced with this crisis scenario, the EnergeticWater project presents a revolutionary alternative: taking advantage of freshwater marine aquifers located under the ocean floor and distributing them efficiently and sustainably.

System phases

Capture: detection of marine freshwater reserves using state-of-the-art technology.

Verification: analysis of water quality and flow to guarantee its viability.

Extraction: use of the natural pressure of the marine subsoil, avoiding conventional pumping and reducing energy costs.

Distribution: transport to areas with water deficit, both short and long distances, with unlimited flow capacity.

Clean energy to make it possible

EnergeticWater is committed to the use of renewable energies to power the system:

Solar and wind energy, available on a global scale.

Development of green hydrogen-based technologies, as an alternative to fossil fuels.

This approach turns the project into an initiative with zero polluting emissions, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Positive global impact

The benefits of implementing EnergeticWater would be extensive and profound:

Supply of drinking water to communities in critical situations.

Recovery of degraded agricultural soils and restoration of natural ecosystems.

Restoring the geophysical balance between the terrestrial and marine subsoil.

Scalability: a proposal designed to meet the needs of more than 8 billion people.

This project not only responds to a climate emergency, but also represents a real commitment to planetary regeneration and equality in access to natural resources.

Institutional call: the challenge is collective

In order for EnergeticWater to become a reality, institutional mobilization is essential. Urgent support is needed from the European Union, the United Nations and all governments. It is a proposal that requires political will, public investment and international collaboration.

Current crises cannot be addressed with fragmented responses. A systemic, integrated and ambitious vision is needed - such as the one proposed by EnergeticWater.

Every idea, every support, every step counts. EnergeticWater is more than a project: it is a declaration of intent. It is the commitment to regenerate, to restore. We continue to work on the planet. And we can do it, drop by drop.

It has been written in Catalan, Spanish, and English.

Thank you all.
